I too remember him being really big! And he was more aggressive than other bears I’ve encountered. We were staying in cabins pretty close to the Weminuche Wilderness…if my memory is correct – might not be! And if that is so then he could have been a brown bear. There are brown bears in that area.
But whatever type of bear he was….it was frightening!
Greg is also terrified of bears and so we don’t really go to the mountains much.
Of course my sheer terror of sharks does not keep us from going to the ocean – and getting in! lol

I totally agree! In fact we had thought about our kiddos going and how much fun it would be so yes, a family reunion would be a good idea. And there are much larger places to rent.

I knew you would have something to say about that! I’m sure you have a different memory…mine, as a wee one, was that was a really big bear. In fact, he must of been 20 feet tall! I do remember him standing up and circling the cabin and looking in like he was going to eat us!

I don”t think the bear was as big as you are thinking. It was a black bear and really was morne instered in finding food. He did keep all the kids in the cabin the rest of the day.

In the cabin/chalet…you are by yourself so you do your own cooking. you must go…you need to do it for yourselves!

Do they fix your dinner and breakfast or do you take food and do so. this sounds so wonderful. still trying to figure out when we can go. right now have Billie Marie to take care of getting to physical therapy and need to see what Donna is going to do but we are going, i swear, we are going.
