Well, here I go venturing out into the world of blogging. It took me awhile to get use to the idea. I guess what decided it for me was in remembering the reason for the whole website in the first place, which is to give glory to God by being a witness to anyone who stumbles upon Davisduo.com. Too, it’s about to be a new year and what better time to start. Each year seems to bring with it it’s very own joys, sorrows, those tumultuous times when life is way too worrisome, and those peaceful times when life is right. I think we need both in order to seek the source of our true peace.

We have had our share of the tumultuous times, these past 5 years especially seem to of been full of them. Yet, our faith has been strengthened so as to never doubt the power of our Lord. Yes, we can live through whatever life sends our way, we can travel through the valleys. Just as the Psalm says: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23
